New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with a quick post to tell you about our new challenge at Time Out! For the next fortnight our theme is Alphabet Magnet Day.

Although traditionally, we might think of magnetic letters as a children’s toy, the first known magnetic letters were actually created for the space industry. Click HERE for a bit of history behind the magnetic letters that have been decorating the faces of refrigerators for 50 years.

For this challenge you can for example use letter dies, large word dies, patterned paper with writing as focal point, embossing folders with letters or large words... many possibilities!

For my card I used supplies form our sponsor Altenew: JOY-die and coordinating stencils and Festive Greenery embossing folder. The embossing folder has coordinating stencils too, but to make my card front mimic a fridge door more, I left it white lol!

I hope to see you playing along. In addition to the Altenew prize, our winner also gets called to guest design in the future. This time our guest is the very talented Carol from Saw it. Had to Make it.  She made two amazing cards for our inspiration! Don't miss Carol's card, more DT inspiration and all the challenge details, click HERE.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational! Our challenge for the next fortnight is "Seasonal". That means we want you to either choose an occasion related to a Season (like winter/Christmas) or use images specifically related to some season.

I have chosen Summer as my season and sunflowers as my specific image. Sunflowers are wonderful in late summer... many Finns grow them all the way from seeds and yet they become huge and bloom amazing come July/August!

. I colored in a Waffle Flower classic image, Sunflower Love, with Copics and Altenew pencils. I've die cut it with matching dies and created a card layout with patterned paper and some scraps from my scraps box. The white panel is heat embossed with a background stamp by the Ton with white pearl powder. I heat embossed a white sentiment (by Altenew) to the grey circle. I always get so happy when I'm able to use elements from my scraps box lol!

New Challenge t Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with a DT card for our new challenge at Time Out. For the next fortnight we have a photo challenge for you and this time it's an extra special one: we are inspired by a purse by Running Stitch Design and this purse will also be the prize for our winner! How fun is that! Running Stitch Design is owned by one of our former DT members Kim and we are very happy to collaborate with her in this challenge.  Our winner also gets called to guest design in a future challenge and this time it's the super talented Cornelia -do visit her amazing blog!

My card might look very different from the purse with a quick glance, but I was actually inspired by the blue dots in the fabric (I used LOADS of them lol) and of the stripes of the brown fabric (have a look at my background paper, lots of stripes there!).

The flower stamps and coordinating coloring stencils are by Altenew and so is the sentiment.

The dot stencil for the background comes from Hero Arts.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at INKspirational!  This time we want you to be inspired by a very fun moodboard, here it is:

Here's my card:

I was inspired by "You are Cool" text and also of the flowers in the middle of the moodboard. I had received this patterned paper and card topper as a freebie with a crafty supplies order from a Finnish web shop... And I think they go perfectly with the moodboard! The flowers are Sunburst Azalea dies by Altenew. I chose the leaves from another Altenew flower set, Belllower, I like the shape of them better. :) The arched rectangle die is a new product for me, by Spellbinders... I've seen so much of this arches everywhere that I had to jump in and by a die for myself too. Love it!!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

At Time Out Challenges we are back with another fun challenge! For the next fortnight we challenge you to be "Striped".

I wish I would have had a zebra stamp or die, that would have been perfect!! I opted for some striped patterned paper instead and made a summery card with Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Strawberry dies as the main star of my card. They were fun to cut out and ink up with various Altenew inks. The photo is a bit washed out, but I added some purple to the strawberries and leaves and it made them look a lot more realistic and beautiful. Love these dies!

I hope to see you playing along. Our winner recieves a $25 coupon to our fab sponsor Lawn Fawn... And also gets called to guest design in a future challenge. This time our talented GD is Karen Rodgers. Do not miss her wonderful card or any of the DT inspiration and challenge details... Click HERE!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational! This time our DT member Julia has chosen the theme and it's White on White.

I decided to make a Christmas card, first one of 2024 I think! :) The background stamp (by Catherine Pooler) was heat embossed with white pearl powder and I absolutely love how it turned out... I had never used this powder on white card and was very surprised on the end result. The die cut bird and sentiment are magazine freebies.

My project for the Blog Hop:

I decided to play with Craft Your Life Project Kit Meadow Breeze... This was my first card with it and I can tell you it won't be the last!! I absolutely love the cute background stamp image combined with the stunning large floral cluster... Such an unique look! I gold heat embossed the background on matt gold card and I also gold heat embossed the main image. I used the coloring stencils for coloring the image. The sentiment is from another CYLPK, Zero Waste Flowery Pattern. I heat embosssed it with white on the same gold matt card that I used for the background. I'm in love with this card and I hope you like it too! :)

Happy Hopping friends and don't forget to check out and join the Card Drive by sending out your handmade cards to Altenew for them to be distributed forward... You could totally brighten someone's day!
